"MovingMutant", you are correct.You said the truth. But,there is the other face of the "circle"... 1975 till today: defensive tactical positioning improved; the players have much more pression ( the "media", the transfers, the opponents...); everybody knows well everybody: teams are better prepared to face opponent key-players. In 2 weeks, a player in spain or england or portugal makes much more atletic effort and Time + Space are shorter. Plus: they have a great Pass to honor and elevate!
