He's a very typical competition dancer. Striking predictable poses and dancing predictable steps. She somehow manages to remember to actually feel the music and to show us a glimpse of it in her performance. She could be a spectacular dancer if she got out the competition circuit and its emphasis on posing.

Ballroom samba is 25% samba, 50% latin dances and 25% european dance for me.

sorry for this ignorant brazilian. this is ballroom samba or samba internacional, wich has its origins on brazilian real samba and maxixe, another brazilian kind of dance. of course it´s not very popular here, because we dance the real one. Samba is like Karate, there are may styles of karate, but it always be karate from japan, like samba, there are some styles, but it always be samba from Brazil.
