For those who still doubt the original aria (without any lyrics was composed by Bach who lived in the 1600's and was called Prelude No.1 in C Major the lyrics were composed later by Charles Gounod in 1859. How could a man who lived the century before Bach was alive write a rendition of an aria he never heard whose lyrics weren't even written in Bach's time?

Yes this version of the aria was by Vladimir he composed it in 1970 whereas Caccini lived in the 1500's and never composed his own rendition of the Ave Maria aria. Vladimir never even attributed it to Caccini instead claiming the composer Anonymous. Vladimir was known for many musical hoaxes in his time attributing several works to other composers.

The true creator of this beautiful melody is not Caccini but the little known russian composer: Vladimir Vavilov
